Voted Today

I moved to Shaker Heights back in August. In September I sent in a new voter registration form with my new address. By the end of October I still hadn’t received anything telling me where to vote.

So I called the board of elections and they told me to vote provisional in my new precinct. Well, that didn’t make me too happy with all the talk about provisional ballots possibly not getting counted.

I decided to take my chances and go to the old precinct, hoping that my name was still on file – and it was. So I voted today, waited in line for one and half hours, and my vote WILL be counted.

Now I just have to wait for this long day to end to find out if our country is headed for better or worse times.
