Hear Me Rev
I ride motorcycles. I love to show off the fact that I’m a woman AND I ride a motorcycle. There’s an immediate bond with other women who ride, because we are rare, but not for long. More and more women are riding these days. So why is it so hard to find an awesome ladies t-shirt that touts my motorcycle enthusiasm?
Every year we go to MotoGP at Laguna Seca. And every year I scour the place for cool, girly shirts. The only shirts I find are Fast Kitty, which are ok, but they just don’t cut it for me. There are other shirts too, but they are always about the logo or just have some butterfly bullshit on them. I want a shirt with a woman and a motorcycle, and I want it to be cool and pretty.
The only way I know how to get such shirts is to make ’em my damn-self. And so, I am. I started a site called Hear Me Rev (as in, “I am woman, hear me rev!”). Right now I have about five or six designs, but I’m gradually adding more. I’m making designs that I would buy, but I’m not everyone. Take a look at my designs, and if you have some feedback or thoughts I would LOVE to hear from you! The picture with this post is my favorite thus far.
Maybe next time you see me, you’ll know I ride a motorcycle because I’ll be wearing a kick-ass tee to show it!
