iTunes Smart Playlists

I’ve been playing around with Smart Playlists on iTunes, and it’s a lot of fun. When I first got my iPod I made a goal to fill it up. I got a lot of songs from friends, much of which I haven’t listened to yet. I can shuffle the entire iPod, but that doesn’t always hit things I haven’t heard. So I created a list that only contains songs with a zero play count – and it works wonderfully! I discovered some new songs, and some things that I haven’t heard in a long time. This filter can also be a good way to hear things that you rarely listen to, like a play count less than 10 or something.

Another fun list I just created is one that has all songs with the word “love” in the title. It’s a cool mix of songs that I’m thoroughly enjoying. I plan on trying other words too, like “sweet”, “moon”, and “crazy”. Here’s my “love” list if you’re interested.
