More Artwork
Just added a portrait of Steve to my portfolio. I painted it for his dad’s 60th birthday. I don’t think he liked it because I couldn’t really read his reaction, which leads me to believe that it was a negative response. I think it’s because of my odd color choices.
I should also mention that this is number 6 out of 6 paintings. What I discovered is that the more I painted him, the better they got. And I really started to get a handle on the technique – making the water and color go where I wanted them too. In the end I learned that doing a watercolor painting several times may be the way to go every time. That way I become more familiar with the subject, I figure out where I want the paint to go, and overall I get a much more developed and “finished” piece.
You have caught Steve’s essence and blue is definitely is his color. Very artistic!
Nice; I like it 🙂
You did misread me. I love it. I like things that are different and the color choices fit Steve. I was really tired at that point of the trip Sorry…
Can’t wait to see you at Thanksgiving.
SAM
Oh good, I’m glad you liked it Sam 🙂
